Tom Wilkinson, the actor who shone
In many great films, died at age seventy-five
He was most gasped for in 'The Full Monty'
The villain in 'Batman Begins'

@RickiTarr Most of them do, tbh. I think the underlying message between "Every Frame a Painting" captured it well. (Miss that channel.)
But seeing as I used to use 80s and 90s action movies for examples in my film class, I might be an outlier.
Anyhoo, a few:
#madmaxfuryroad The desert storm.
#300 The fight on the cliff
#serenity The Serenity dolly shot to open
#GrandBudapestHotel Just the color design, in all of it.
#johnwick Fights as ballet
#matrix2 The Chateau foyer fightAnd more...

CW: Sitting in Bars with Cake (mild vague spoiler)
Bailed last night on #AsteroidCity after about 20 minutes. His movies are so hit or miss for me, and the last one that hit was #GrandBudapestHotel. Switched to #SittingInBarsWithCake, which did hit hard. It was a good gal-pal movie with a lot of heart (& heartbreak), but I liked how it set up the tedious cliche of "we gotta get you laid, girl" and then shifted into a friendship-centered story.

CW: art male nude photography, penis, pubes
После неудачной пересадки лёгких умер Эрвин Олаф (1959–2023). Я бы мог его причислить к плеяде нелюбимых мной художников-геев, но иногда и у него случались хорошие снимки:
Erwin Olaf, “Vance” from the series “Squares”, 1984 ⦾ https://drouot.com/en/l/16026774-erwin-olaf-1959-erwin-olaf-195 #ErwinOlaf #queerphotography #blackandwhitephotography #malenudephotography #malenude #objectification #hotelporter #bellhop #pubes #bushes #fetishes #GrandBudapestHotel #corpses #1980s

Ich bin #WesAnderson Fan. Seit #RoyalTenenbaums! 🥴
Muss mir wohl mal wieder #GrandBudapestHotel anschauen... 😉

Wes Anderson fans:
I just saw Asteroid City, and I'm still processing that, but in the meantime I just came across this remarkably good video that comments (at a brisk clip, à la Wes Anderson) on The Grand Budapest Hotel.
