Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all Mastodon friends!
Situated over the #GrandRiver Ontario, in West Montrose, is the oldest wooden covered bridge in Canada. Locals driving their horse and buggy rigs began to call the structure the "kissing bridge" : a kiss (in privacy inside the bridge) was required as a toll to cross it.

#GreatBlueHeron (what???)
#CommonMergansers
#Robins (AKA Christmas Robins LOL)We also spotted these year-round birds:
#CanadaGeese
#CommonGoldenEye
#Chickadees
#Mallards
#BaldEagle (Juvenile)
#RedTailHawks
#SongSparrow
#MerlinA great day indeed!

The #GreatEgret is a dazzling sight dressed all in white and set against the colourful red and gold background as it flies past a fall forest. A tall, stately white wader of quiet waters it takes flight when disturbed. See at Wilson's Flats, #Ontario at #GrandRiver!
