Non sei se por aquí sodes máis de facelo con recursos propios ou de usar Github.

Ja, das Ortsverzeichnis von #compgen nutze ich auch. Das ist sehr gut. Bei #gramps kannte ich das getgov Plugin noch nicht und werde es mir mal anschauen. Ich will vor allem die vielen unterschiedlichen Orte im Überblick behalten und auch die historischen Karten aus dem Kartenforum2.0 (https://kartenforum.slub-dresden.de) der SLUB in Dresden hinter meine gesammelten Orte legen.

@Geoglorus le respect de la norme garantit l'interopérabilité car tout est lu et interprété correctement.
Mais au final le choix du logiciel se base plus sur l'ergonomie et le flux de travail personnel que sur la conformité du #gedcom #ancestris #gramps

@ancestris_officiel La convention _ c'est effectivement la bonne pratique, pas de débat là-dessus. Mais la conformité à la norme ne garantit pas l'interopérabilité réelle : GEDCOM 5.5.1 laisse suffisamment d'ambiguïtés pour que deux logiciels conformes restent incompatibles en pratique. C'est d'ailleurs pour ça que GEDCOM 7 a été créé. Mais au final le choix du logiciel se base plus sur l'ergonomie et le flux de travail personnel que sur la conformité du #gedcom #ancestris #gramps

@ancestris_officiel C'est vrai que le GEDCOM de Gramps n'est pas toujours parfait mais aucun logiciel ne produit un GEDCOM 100% propre, c'est un problème inhérent au format lui-même. Stocker les données non conformes dans un tag NOTE est une solution de repli utile, mais ça reste une donnée à replacer manuellement. La vraie limite, c'est le format GEDCOM, pas le logiciel. #gramps #ancestris #gedcom

I discovered GRAMPS as a Flatpak application a few weeks ago. I exported my family tree from Ancestry.com, and imported it successfully into GRAMPS. So far things are going pretty well.
If you're into genealogy, it may be an interesting open source project to try out. Their wiki site is really informative and helpful.

@ancestris_officiel Côté sources, Gramps propose une structure très solide (dépôt > source > citation), sans avoir besoin d'attendre GEDCOM 7. Pour Java, le problème c'est surtout l'ergonomie et le côté un peu lourd de la JVM. L'argument sécurité sur JavaScript tient la route dans un contexte web, mais pour une appli desktop comme Gramps, qui n'exécute pas de JS sauvage, sauf si je me trompe. Et pour info, le code de #Gramps est aussi auditable. 2/3

Merci pour toutes ces infos ! Juste quelques petites précisions, si tu permets : #Gramps gère l'import/export #GEDCOM de manière tout à fait fiable. Le risque de perdre des données pendant la conversion existe dans les deux sens y compris quand #Ancestris lit un #GEDCOM venant d'un autre logiciel. Le vrai sujet, c'est surtout la qualité de l'implémentation, pas le fait de bosser "directement" sur le fichier. 1/3 -
Ich pflege seit einigen Jahren unseren Familienstammbaum (ca. 700 Personen) mit Gramps.
Für Feiern oder Treffen exportiere ich die Daten in das Android Programm FamilyGem auf einem Tablet.
Damit kann jeder Laie super im Stammbaum stöbern.
Wer will, kann auch in FamilyGem die Daten erfassen (und auch wieder in Gramps übertragen).

Na twee jaar stilstand mijn genealogie project weer afgestoft. Bestanden van oude harde schijf overgezet op huidige laptop.
Ik was alleen vergeten hoe moeilijk het kan zijn om te stoppen als je eenmaal in een spoor verdiept bent. Dus ik zal een timer moeten zetten als ik op tijd in bed wil liggen, gister is dat in ieder geval niet gelukt :p -

Je m'attaque à la restructuration de ma base de lieux (près de 1400 lieux, sans compter un millier de subdivision, rues ou lieux-dits). Question : y a t-il moyen d'importer un référentiel géographique (genre : les communes françaises) ou d'exporter des lieux puis réimport avec les coordonnées géographiques ?

bon, le seul truc qui me freine pour une migration vers #Linux, c'est mon logiciel de #généalogie (utilisé au moins depuis 2012... plus maintenu depuis la mort de son développeur, mais toujours vaillant, quoi qu'avec un fichier de près de 20 000 individus ça rame par moment)... allez je prends mon courage à 2 mains pour tout basculer sur #Gramps, corriger tout ce qui passe pas (arg, les lieux..) puis zou, migration #Linux

Some stuff I absolutely need to get going with in my own data management needs is migrating data from proprietary or otherwise Linux-incompatible programs to #opensource ones.
One glaring example is moving my family tree data from MacFamilyTree to #Gramps. I thought I was gonna be a Mac user forever. Now I’ve seen the light and use Windows and Fedora for all my computing needs.
Another is migrating notes from Apple Notes to #simplenote.

I've been using Gramps genealogy software on and off for a year and only just realized you can create custom event types just by typing a new name. Here I thought you have to select ones from the dropdown list and have been awkwardly calling musician activity Occupation and Ordination and so on.🤯 https://www.gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php/Custom_Event_Types
