  1. I can't say I have ever been in a 'men’s locker room for writers', but for en dashes and em dashes it isn't the size that matters, it is how you use it – but I do agree we should reclaim the em dash from ChatGPT!

  2. I understand the semicolon placement here, but I don't like it:
"That puts the target squarely back on Steve Spagnuolo's defense, in my opinion; if K.C. is going to hold steady down the stretch, that's the unit that must play its best ball."
I prefer putting it after the word "defense,":
"That puts the target squarely back on Steve Spagnuolo's defense; in my opinion, if K.C. is going to hold steady down the stretch, that's the unit that must play its best ball."

  7. CW: grammar nerd rant

It's foreword, not forward, when you talk about JD Vance and the part he wrote of the book in question.

"“Dawn's Early Light,” a forthcoming book by the Heritage Foundation's president, Kevin D. Roberts, calling for a “second American Revolution,” features a foreword by Senator JD Vance, the Ohio Republican whom Mr. Trump tapped as his running mate in July." - NYT got it right. So *many* "reporters" haven't. And oh, the closed captions.

  12. CW: Pride month, Jewish text study

I was honored to be the speaker yesterday for my synagogue’s annual Pride Shabbat. Writing this was a joy, and speaking these words to my congregation was an incredible moment. @Rob_T_Firefly suggested that it might be worth sharing to a broader audience - and his suggestions are always worth taking. #PrideShabbat #DvarTorah #Visibility #Behaalotekha #Judaism #Torah #GrammarNerd #Jewniverse #Mazeldon drive.google.com/file/d/1fHmvU
