Farming can be financially risky. One farmer having trouble brought in a load of grain to sell, between Christmas and New Year's.
It was -40º outside.
When he started to lift the box on his grain truck, it stuck part-way because the hydraulic oil was near-solid.
Even the electric motor to run the elevator lift belt didn't work until we warmed it up.
We shovelled the grain off by hand. Truck was stuck there until it warmed a little.
Luckily, nobody else came in.
