I visited the #GowerPeninsula in #Wales for the first time in 2024 and did 4 lovely walks. Many interesting features such as a Neolithic burial ground known as Arthur’s Stone, dramatic cliffs, great beaches & good ridge walk on Rhossili Down. A trip to the south side of #gowerpeninsula to the village of #Mumbles today to buy fresh Hake.
I'll be baking it for dinner this evening and serving it with homemade Parsley Sauce, [parsley grown in my garden], peas from my garden and Gower new potatoes.

If you feel the need to obtain a memento of your holiday on #gowerpeninsula I would recommend @dansantillo 's work which is sublime. The best #gower #photographer in my opinion. This pic of the Helvetia Wreck and aurora is stunningly beautiful.

My friends the wild #gowerponies have come to visit me. These ponies roam freely on #gowerpeninsula and are owned by #commoners who have grazing rights for their animals. Their cows also roam freely.
Each Summer they face the threat of being mowed down by speeding motorists when the tourists hit Gower.
The tourists don't know that if you ask them nicely they will move off the road so that vehicles can pass.

My #dogwood is loaded with blossoms too this year. Past it's best now and pink edges appearing but still beautiful. #gowerpeninsula #wales

In early March we had one heavy downfall of #snow here on #gowerpeninsula , it was enough to demolish my fruit cage and I was taken by surprise by this. So I rebuilt a sturdier fruit cage from 2x2 uprights and 1x2 horizontals: this is what it looks like. Inside I grow Redcurrants, Blackcurrants, Blueberries and Gooseberries. This season a host of Caterpillars has stripped the Gooseberry bush, and has already begun munching through the Redcurrants .... HELP, please help, send advice!

Well my trip to Wales to visit family and friends didn't quite go as planned thanks to a nasty bug 🥵. But I did get this shot of an astonishing #sunset on the #gowerpeninsula. I even stopped the car to stand and stare for a few minutes as it was truly spectacular
No filter needed this is just how I snapped it on my phone!
