Evidence: Im working on a choir cover of King Nothing, and realized that what he did when writing it was tune the E string down a half step to make it sound twangier, then distorted the absolute fuck out of it to make it sound scarier... and damn if it doesnt work brilliantly
For non-musicians: re-tuning one string but not the others makes every fingering you ever learned, completely useless

Michael Jackson's Thriller has been covered countless times, usually as an upbeat dance song.
I prefer The Lovecrave's version, that throws the dance beat out the window and reimagines the song in a true goth metal style. Thank the gods it's Friday, it's been a long week.

I wonder what happened to the gothic metal band Forever Slave? They released 2 good albums in the 2000's and were never heard from again. These albums are not even available on most streaming services.
