World War I recalled with Gorey town walk
Mick O'Callaghan writes:
"I have participated in many events in Gorey over the years, but this war walk was the best. The weather was unkind and wet but over 30 people attended. The walk was led by Willy Willoughby to remember all the men from the Gorey area who fought in World War 1. Brian Kenny an expert on The Great War, joined the group and he was accompanied by 3 others dressed in World War 1 uniforms....."

Today I found the #Greenstar dump in #Gorey closed. The nearest one is now Ferns, 25km away. The helpful attendant at the Recycling centre told me of a bin depot at Osborne's fuel station. €9 for 160L, the contents of our household bin. That's OK.

Wexford Bus transports us to Gorey and our daughter is waiting to take us the last few miles.
Nearly everything went to plan and there were no serious hiccups thankfully.
The Interrail app supplies some nice statistics. Unfortunately, it doesn’t cover the ferry.

The old courthouse in Gorey, a listed building, continues to fall into dereliction as seen below in some recent pictures from the side and rear.
It looks destined to follow in the footsteps of another listed building in Gorey which now forms part of a supermarket car park.
