Super high tech setup to capture street-level imagery on a newly introduced rural bus route. Images are already on #mapillary, still working on #panoramax uploads. There was very little magnetic material on the bus for the magnetic foot of the setup. It worked, though. #gopromax #gopro #opendata

As a reaction to this article (https://www.kilkennypeople.ie/news/motoring/1633049/is-satnav-anomaly-causing-speeding-in-kilkenny.html), I did a bit of homework and added the speed limits as signposted and as the general rule for urban areas is as well as the locations of the speed limit signs. Took me a while, but luckily I had walked the whole village with my GoPro Max and had been driven through this year.

Leider streikt das #mapillary python Skript. Lade daher die Fotos zu #mapilio .

Interestingly, it's not the #GoPro9 footage that takes up space (It's only about 250 GB for four cameras). It's the #GoProMax footage, which is pretty... spicy in terms of footage size.
That single file? It's pushing 450 GB.
@BeanieCam is going to kill me when he sees how much unusable B-Roll I've got for him ... *cough*

For goodness sake. What design genius at #GoPro decided a battery must be inserted into a Max camera to enable media upload, especially given that feature only works when the camera is plugged in?
Guess I now have no choice but to buy a battery I don't theoretically need (replacing the one that failed). Waste of money, waste of resources.

#Gopro #GoproMax am #Deppenzepter zum #360Grad-Foto waagerecht übers Brückengeländer, kann man machen, aber der Horizont liegt dann auf der optisch unglaublich schwachen Stitch-Linie der beiden Objektive. Trotz Lagesensor der Kamera werden #Zenit und #Nadir in der Projektion von der Hardware vorgegeben. Aufgrund der schwachen Auflösung kann man nicht korrigieren ohne die Qualität final zu killen, also braucht es einen parametrierbaren #Panorama-Viewer. #GoPro Media Library is being stupid again - another instance of an error occurring trying to download the "Original quality - full length" copy of a long #GoProMax video. This is the third time recently.
Such a stupid limitation. If I could join segments locally, I wouldn't have an issue. But that's not a feature that GoPro offer. Instead, you have to pay an annual subscription, upload gigabytes of files from the camera to the cloud, let them join them together (🤞), before downloading again.

Im Vorfeld des #Norwegen-Urlaubs am Tooling arbeiten. Schön, dass so ein #360Grad #Panorama mit der #GoproMax in einer Sekunde gemacht ist, aber wenn man von aufwendig gestitchten #Drohnen-Panoramas mit 180 #Megapixel kommt, hauen die Pixelsuppe und der wackelige #Horizont schon ganz schön rein.
