This is the first half of the lighting for the Goonies ship that I completed last night. Going to hopefully finish it up this afternoon.
The Brixmax 2.0 lights are so much better than their older ones, which were still miles ahead of the other ones I'd used.
These have decent reversible connectors and wires, less things that need adhesive, connector bricks so there are fewer mile-long wires, and they aren't stupid expensive.

No video to follow for this light kit, so I'll be zooming in on the PDF copy of the instructions as I go instead.

Finished bags 11-17 (of 21) tonight since I figured out a better way to arrange things so I can sit up straighter with better back support while building. With luck, I may be done tomorrow.
So far every bit of this set is just :chefkiss: perfection. So many fun details!

I'll be at this for a while. Finally managed to make enough space to display it. Hopefully the footprint is the size I guesstimated or I may have to get creative.
The Goonies set, 21 bags, just shy of 3000 pieces. Only put together one bag today, rest should hopefully go faster if my back cooperates.

The Goonies Lego set is live! I say this after I got my own order in, so mine is secured at least, and the GWP was still in stock as of a couple moments ago.
They have sold out of the GWPs pretty quickly in the past, so I was stalking the page. Seems to have went live at midnight EDT this time.

I'm having WAY too much fun with this build. This is a VirtualPinball table, currently running GOONIES. I've gotten the playsurface, backglass, and dot matrix display working, controls are currently on the keyboard, but i have the parts for the rest of the box.
I think I'm going to scale up the monitor from 27" to 32" before building out the actual cabinet. But holy cats this is fun.

Following this paper at https://arxiv.org/abs/1811.02035 (Entombed: An archaeological examination of an atari 2600 game) I implemented a version of the maze generator from Atari 2600's Entombed on the MSX1. Music is not looping here, but that's already fixed in my code.
