This cute little guy is from the original Super Mario Bros. His name is Goomba in English and Kuribō in Japanese.

The game takes place in a mushroom kingdom, so he was modeled after Shiitakes. But one developer thought he resembled a chestnut, and called him Kuribō. This means “chestnut boy” in Japanese.

Okay I've really wanted to get back into daily drawing. Background story; in 2017 I started drawing every day to improve myself and had so much fun I kept going until after the two year mark in 2019. Doesn't matter how finished or even if it's just warmup exercises, just make marks on that paper/digital canvas.
