I suppose my frustration with, and disdain for, faculty and institutions promoting #AdobeExpress #AdobeCreativeSuite, #GoogleEducation, #GoogleSites, #GoogleClassoom, #GoogleDocs, #MicrosoftEDU, #MSWindows, #iPads, #Chromebooks, etc., etc., etc., is such enthusiastic #edtech engaement (well-meaning as it is) ultimately serves corporate interests--creating lifelong and locked-in customers--rather than education or their schools.

My middle school students are creating personal “web design passion projects” as we end the term, and also learning about project management.
I’m creating one of these projects too on the same timeline, mine is titled “Searchable Google Sheet Powered Website.”

Provozuju 1 web na WP, 2 na Google Sites a 3 čistě v kódu bez nějakého CMS nebo Sitebuilderu.Wordpressů jsem míval víc ale postupně jsem se na něj tam kde to jde začal kašlat, protože množství údržby přestávalo dávat pro často pouze one-page projekty dávat smysl.

Google Sites and Domain redirection is an absolute PAIN!!!
How can it be that if you host a site on google workspace you can't point the naked domain to the same workspace site.
I help a non profit with their IT and workspace admin and they wanted to get rid of wordpress as it was overly maintenance heavy.
We swapped the site over 5 days ago and the naked domain still did not work. I had to setup a dedicated container on my private server to temporarily fix this. -

He put his debit card in and did it because he wanted something to tell people to go to. He was going to do IansCatSitting.com, and Google said he might want to consider IanCatSitting b/c it said the former reads like IanScatSitting, which Google said sounds related to Face Sitting. 🤣 I was impressed with Ian and Google.
