#Mozilla has long lost its way.

I get that nobody wants to trust
#Chromium based #browsers because of the evil #Google-plex, but in reality ever since Mozilla started pushing telemetry and experiments on its users Mozilla hasn't acted much better.

Google will win, at least for a time, until a new
    #browser comes along.

If people put as much money and resources into
#KDE and #Konqueror we could have an actual competitor to Chromium but nobody wants to do that.

I disagree. #Google used to answer your questions, now it tries to trap you in the #Googleplex or #Sell you something (or both).

I get better answers by posting on #Facebook or here with "Does anyone know anyone who can answer a question about <whatever>?"

#Microsoft is really good at searching my stuff (and my organizations's stuff at work) and totally inept at searching the #internet.

If you shop at #Amazon, the best way is to ask Google to find it on Amazon's website.

  3. CW: email rant

@chris_e_simpson Addition/side-note: gmail webapp has gotten noticably slower and more bulky in the past few years as they've changed design & packed in Meetings.

I have a *lot* of tabs open in FF, and gmail tabs are now among slowest as of 6 months ago. I expect & rely on performant tools from the #GooglePlex. If they can't manage that, the value proposition drops (hough heavens knows what I'd replace it with; my dependency runs deep at this point).
