Seems the search assist of DuckDuckGo was puzzled by my question. That question being:

I use lineageos without Google Play. But there now is something called "google cast" on my phone. I recently acquired Bell Fibe for my TV and internet connection. Is there someway that Google is spreading its shit to my phone via this new Fibe thing I got?

Do note the Fibe deal recently came with the apartment complex I live in.

Nach weiteren unregelmäßigen Verbindungsabbrüchen mit Qobuz Connect und dem nicht funktionierenden Zusammenspiel mit Plex bin ich mit meinem Arylic LP10 Streamer nun nicht mehr wirklich zufrieden.

- und habe mir nun doch mal einen WiiM Pro Streamer gekauft. Ob ich ihn behalte, ist noch fraglich. Aber ich will zumindest mal sehen, ob andere das besser hinbekommen. 😕

Eigentlich habe ich zwar einen WiiM Pro Streamer ins Auge gefasst, aber selbst gebraucht werden noch Preise um ca 110 € abgerufen. Daher kommt mir der hier mit 70 € deutlich günstiger.

Die Qualität des internen DAC soll (nachvollziehbar) nicht so toll sein, aber den will ich gar nicht nutzen. Das Ding soll digital bleiben und dann via Toslink in meinen AVR einspeisen.

Ich bin gespannt!

Platforma streamingowa Netflix wprowadza istotną zmianę w funkcjonowaniu swoich aplikacji mobilnych, która bezpośrednio wpłynie na wygodę obsługi serwisu.

Firma zdecydowała się na wycofanie wsparcia dla technologii Google Cast w przypadku większości nowoczesnych telewizorów i przystawek multimedialnych.

Zgodnie z informacjami potwierdzonymi na stronach pomocy technicznej serwisu, użytkownicy nie będą już mogli inicjować odtwarzania materiałów z poziomu smartfona na urządzeniach, które posiadają zainstalowaną natywną aplikację Netflixa. W przypadku nowoczesnych Smart TV z systemami Google TV, Tizen czy WebOS, ikona przesyłania po prostu zniknie lub przestanie być aktywna dla danego odbiornika.

Konsekwencja wcześniejszych działań

Decyzja ta wpisuje się w szerszą strategię firmy, polegającą na zamykaniu ekosystemu. Już dawno Netflix usunął wsparcie dla technologii AirPlay na urządzeniach z systemem iOS, co uniemożliwiło użytkownikom iPhone’ów przesyłanie obrazu na telewizory kompatybilne z tym standardem.

Sto pensando di lasciare #sky e passare a #NowTV però avrei bisogno di collegare al le tv un dispositivo in grado di gestire la relativa app. La #firestick di #amazon sembrerebbe la scelta più semplice ed economica ma mi disturba l'idea di comprare un dispositivo dovendo poi accettare di ricevere costantemente la pubblicità del venditore: so però che si può hackerare.
