@cazabon @LJ I agree 100% and was tooting about my issues with it at least a month ago. All I got in return were explanations of why it's a #GoodThing.🙄 It seems to be a workaround for shortcomings in the way federation handles hashtags. I say fix the shortcomings. In the meantime, I just add a lot of #pointless #hashtags to my #toots to make tags.pub #WorkHarder.
Also, it really pisses me off that the system converts #CamelCase to #lowercase.

Recently, #StephenFry has pivoted to voicing support for #trans folks - which is of course uniquivocably a #GoodThing. However, just a few years ago, he was still making TV shows with the #TERF Queen #JKR and actively platforming anti-trans rhetoric. At the same time, on #Mastodon, he was verbally abusing and blocking people who called him out for that.
At the time, while I was on another instance, I also had such an altercation with him and was blocked by him. I'm trying to find forensic or any other remaining evidence of his tantrum in the Fediverse, to use as evidence to show that, despite his recent pivot, he still does have apologies and reparations to make for his transmisic past... -

I mean, actually it was crowded and the platforms were hot and some of the elevators were out of service but it wasn’t scary, I directed a lost foreigner, and I made it home safely in a reasonable time. I got a plant for £1 from the garden centre at the end of the summer. It was a tomato plant and I though, hey, why not...
It grew...
and grew,
and grew...and the autmun came and I brought it inside my kitchen.
I asked advide. People told me it might die -
or maybe it would live?It lived.
Today, on Feb 1 these are the tomatoes I picked.
It is still flowering and continues to fruit.
It reminds me to keep on keeping on.
