Organizer, 8/21/2025"This is a photo of Bernie sitting up and using a wheelchair yesterday. Today he is being discharged from the Rehabilitation hospital in Portland and he is moving into an assisted living center in Kennebunk. He enjoys having visitors as he continues his recovery process.
"He is very grateful to everyone of you who have donated to help him offset some of the medical expenses he has already incurred, and the towards the monthly cost of the assisted living facility."

Martin Luther, early Lutheran theologian, says Christians should give more to the poor than churches. This would shine more brightly than all the churches of stone or wood. This is God’s commandment.
Do we want to do the opposite today? Say that doing real service to God in stone will inspire the poor to clean up their act and pull up selves by their bootstraps?

This is Tuxie our friendly neighborhood stray. I've tried getting him into the garage at night but he seems very against that idea as of yet. He does come by daily (food) and unfortunately this morning did so with a puncture wound on his front left leg. I've hydrogen peroxided it lightly and will hope for the best. He's okay, though slightly vocal the two times I've cleaned it today but I think he knows I'm helping.
