Three years ago I bought an electric kettle at a discount store, and my life has never been the same.
Okay, that's a little dramatic, but I am continually surprised how fast and how convenient it is. I use it for tea and other beverages, but also to pre-heat water for pasta and other foods, and it saves me a lot of time.
