Today was a good day. A really good day. It’s been a while since I’ve had one of those.
Four of our family of seven went to the Oregon coast. We ventured over a bay to a peninsula, where we’ve never been. And it was the best choice we could have made.
We visited three beaches and a scenic loop. It was SO beautiful. We brought good food with us, and ate it while looking out over the vast ocean.
Oh, and that’s about as close as I’ve been to a family of deer. There were three of them, foraging on the side of the road.
Good times.

What a cracker of a day. The sunshine came & warmed everything really well. Nearly all my washing is dry, folded & put away. My house is clean & tidy & bonus - the lawns are mowed. Happy woman here. This is what winter days should be like. It’s cooling off now though & you can really feel the temp drop. The sun is barely showing in the garden now & I feel a little weary but satisfied. #GoodDay

Today was another good day. The new Balance class I tried was a little challenging to say the least, but I enjoyed it & it just means I need to practice, so I will be doing it again.
Off into town after that to pay my bill & grab a birthday card & wrapping paper for no longer Miss 7 but now Miss 8. So we have Unicorn Lego cafe & Unicorn wrapping paper, a twirly straw with a unicorn lolly attached & I couldn’t find a Unicorn card, so she has Minnie Mouse, but I’m sure that’s acceptable 😁. Then to Bunnings where I bought some new secateurs & a Vax stick vacuum cleaner. It’s not hugely powerful but it’s for my little unit & I was happy with it when I tried it out but slightly embarrassed after noticing all the bits at the edge of my floor that I hadn’t seen before & only do now because this thing has a light on it 😬. I thought it was relatively clean, just goes to show!

Spent the day with good friends in Seattle
Started with a nice farmer's market, then fantastic indian food ( featuring "The Chai" ), then a wonderful private tour of the uni and fun conversation

Had a lovely day out with Miss 7 & Miss 14 granddaughters today. I have only been to Corowa a few times over the 33yrs I’ve lived on the border. So most things were new to me too. Not a big town with around 5,600 population but they also border the even smaller town of Wahgunyah.
We walked the Main Street which is actually Sanger St 😂 & we found all 3 op shops. Miss 7 loves her soft toys & chose a blue swimming turtle, miss 14 found some headphones & I found a lovely jumper. We did visit Dimmys as recommended, not exactly our cup of tea as regards merchandise, although some things were ok, but the building it is in is an old theatre & really has that smell of an old theatre. Even the old drop curtain is still there where the stage once was. I let the girls choose their cafe of choice & unsurprisingly it was the bakery, simple food done well with hot chocolate for them & coffee for me. Then they both chose a sweet treat to take to the park. All in all it was a fun day & the “I love you lots grandma” had me with an awww 🥰🥲 I love you too moment. #DayOut #SchoolHolidays #Granddaughters. #GoodDay -
It’s been quite a productive day today. I got everything I needed down the street including a boned & butterflied chicken for dinner, not tonight though as that’s sorted, but tomorrow night - Sunday roast. Off to Bunnings & came home with potting mix, kale, Silverbeet & Asian greens which are now in a large pot out the back along with sage. I meant to get oregano for a solo pot & forgot 🤷🏼♀️. I’ve also removed the old miniature lemon from its large pot, which was a job & a half as it’s been in there around a decade, but it’s been done with minimal fuss & no damage to me 😄. I’ve been shown a beautiful wattle that is quite delicate looking & it was in a pot very like the one that had my lemon in it. I’m going to find out what it is called, apparently it was just from tube stock too. I think it would be a lovely addition to my front garden as it grows & spreads. #GoodDay #Productive Day #GardenPlanning.

It’s been a good day. I got all the odds & sods jobs done bar one & only because I couldn’t figure out from online information if something will work automatically or not, so it may be done anyway. I’ll ring tomorrow when the holiday is over. I’ve even got the lawns mowed & once again all is nice & tidy. Still more things to do & picked up & processed another lot of feijoas which included some I already had on the bench.
I found my old camping 🏕️ gear, tent & everything at the back of the old wardrobe in the garage. It’s supposed to be a 5 person tent, so perfect for 2 or 3 people 😂. All my camping cookwear was there as well. So that’s inside & will be given a good scrub when I do the dishes tonight. Then I’ll try to find out if anyone wants it, or maybe even keep it myself as it will work on induction, even my old whistling kettle.
The sun is off the back garden now & it’s getting quite chilly outside. My little Dogwood 🌳 is nearly naked, just a few leaves left, but it’s still doing well & I see buds where the flowers will appear. Can’t wait for the new growing season & to watch it continue its growth. I’m seriously considering getting another one for the front area. I think it would be perfect even though the falling leaves are messy, good for the garden though. #BusyDay #GoodDay #Garden -
Ich hab letztes Jahr angefangen zu lesen und auch relativ viel für ein Jahr. Dieses Jahr habe ich noch kein einziges Buch gelesen und ärgere mich etwas darüber und dachte mir letztens, ich könnte Mal wieder anfangen. Ich bin nur bei der Buchauswahl total überfordert. Nun standen heute 2 Buchreihen auf Arbeit in der Küche zum verschenken. Hab mir natürlich beide genommen.
Manchmal einfach das Leben machen lassen.

I have 5 Easter eggs for my grandkids, I have 3 cute pairs of winter pjs for the smallest grandkids & had a lovely catch up & lunch out with my daughter.
Arrived home a couple of hours ago & my dinner in the slow cooker smells so yummy. Has around an hour to go until my lamb shanks & accompanying veg are finished. I want to have some broccoli & sweet potato with it.
I don’t often have lamb, I’m not really a huge fan, so I hope this is good 👍🏼. #GoodDay -
It's spring-ish today on the Canadian prairies, and while I was out running errands a car cruised by me in the parking lot. A little Acura coupe with the sunroof open, and a dog's head [1] sticking up out of it, loving the breeze, the smells, and the sights of all the people.
It was a good day.
[1] What looked like a cross between a husky and a border collie - pretty sure its IQ was higher than anyone in the US administration's cabinet.
