Monkey is the best girl! She is house-trained and an A+ cuddler. Monk is good with other playful dogs but doesn't have great boundaries for dogs who don't want to play. She's leash reactive, but smart and eager to please.
Monkey just needs a foster who is ready to love her and help her.
Please she needs you! Monkey CANNOT end up back at the shelter.
She is 2 y/o, 50ish lbs. Already spayed.

The kittens are 176-211 grams now. Such lovely little chunks.

Got some REALLY quick snaps of them and will share later. Trixie wants them back as soon as they start fussing, which doesn’t give much time and weights are top priority. Not complaining. Grateful she’s such an attentive mom.

Trixie let me feed her, weigh the kittens & reset her litterbox. She’s not really wanting my company, though, and that’s okay - we’ll follow her lead.

The babies are gaining steadily. YES!!

The kittens will be named after young adult detectives in books/comics/graphic novels.

Already know one will be Enola (Nancy Springer’s Enola Holmes - read/listen if you haven’t yet…SO good) and one will be Ottoline (Chris Riddell’s Ottoline and the Yellow Cat which I’ve not yet read).

That leaves 5 names (one a boy & rest TBD)

When there are so many kittens, I weigh them every 12 hours instead of the usual 24.

Everyone gained overnight w/exception of our short tailed calico who was biggest last night and maintained her* weight overnight.

*statistically calicos are likely girls & orangie is likely a boy.

Now we can see them fully, we have two tabbies (one w/red splotch on head is our runt), an orange, a black, a black and white, and two calicos (that I misidentified as torties-and one has a short curled tail).

Trixie cleaned up #6 but didn’t cut his cord. Took care of that for her.

Held food to her face and she wolfed almost two servings of wet. Leaning into pets until contractions started again.

Three so far. A tabby and a black (clean, dry and nursing) and a tortie that Trixie is still cleaning up. She purred and let me check things out and then told me to let her get back to work by growling at me.

Ms Trixie is growly and trying to escape her room this morning. Can tell, from the camera in her room, that she’s not yet given birth, has food and has water. So. I’m letting her be for now.

She has three beds and moved between them frequently last night.

Poor thing. I hope those babies come soon and I’m glad she’ll never have to do this again.

She’s about 2 yo according to the shelter

She’s a social eater

She’s very vocal & VERY loud when she wants something

She’s friendly, until she’s not. Reminds me of affectionate but temperamental #SadieTheCat. I can work with this. Just means slowing WAY down to watch for signs she’s losing patience.
