I took a new #GoldenPothos cutting and put it in a repurposed medicine bottle. The bottle is full of water and jelly beads. A disposable beverage lid keeps it centered and upright in the wide-mouthed bottle. I put tissue around the stem to cover the opening and prevent anything from getting in the water.

My new place is still bare. Can't move in yet. This #plant gets to be the first occupant. 🙃 Planning on getting some ant-repelling #plants too.

Finally I got tired of it
more than I was scared to cut it.

So i cut off the long leafless stem and the two last nodes with the two little #leaves. It's been over 2 weeks. No new roots yet. But the color is just as vibrant as before.

And yesterday I noticed: Something's starting to sprout from the node of the leafless stem.

THIS IS A BIG DEAL FOR ME, OKAY?

Got my N'Joy yesterday. I noticed that compared to the younger leaves (and compared to the leaves of Golden), the larger leaves felt like dry paper. Then I realized there was actually a white layer of i-don't-know-what on the leaves. So I wiped them off.

Then today I see white crystals in the #soil. 😳 Hwaaaaat?!

It's growing a new leaf though. So it's ok?

Well, my Golden #Pothos has survived 5 months with me. I'm thinking I'm allowed to adopt another #plant. 😁 I'm also thinking it deserves a friend, so I got an N'Joy Pothos to keep it company.

I'll probably put the N'Joy pot on top of a Timon mug, just like the Golden one.

Been a long time since I posted about my #GoldenPothos. This is what it looks like now. I didn't want the long leggy look anymore -- I was getting tempted to cut it and grow a new plant from it.

Knowing my #PlantCare track record and #YellowThumbs, that would have a sad outcome. 😁

Also, me thinks that keeping the leaves close together will make it easier to give them the same amount of light.

I find it interesting that the youngest leaf of the pothos has grown larger than the slightly older one. It's like the older one just stopped growing. 😶

One browning leaf quickly went yellow. Got rid of it. *sigh*

The tillandsia looks the same. That's good, I guess.

I've learned when to 💧 it. Sometimes after 5 days, sometimes after 8 days. I wait for the 🍃 to start drooping, which means it's been thirsty. It perks right up after watering.

I've never seen a yellowing leaf recover and turn green again. Somebody please tell me it's possible for the leaf to recover. I don't wanna lose another leaf! 😣

Oh wow. 😯 The droopy/curling leaves have already recovered since I watered the pothos this morning. That was fast! Last time, I didn't notice it recovering till 2 days later.

The stem was laying limp on the glass shelf this morning... Now it's perked up and not touching the glass anymore. Yay!! 😄👍

Day 27 it was all perky again.
Day 30 it's back to being droopy. Gave it more water today than last time.

I come home from a morning of errands and find the yellow bottom leaf now looking dead and the 3rd young leaf starting to yellow at the tip.

@plants Advice, please. I don't want the whole #plant to die.

Option A: Amputate it where I drew a red line, and the leaf with an X will be cut off and sacrificed for rooting.

Option B: Or should I just pluck off the bottom yellowing leaf and wait* and see?
