Started Cali in Crescent City, hit Redding, Red Bluff and Chico before finishing today in Grass Valley. Pine Mountain Lake, Auburn and Columbia next up. #GoldCountry

Over Labor Day weekend, Nevada County saw 23 alcohol-related arrests and 15 DUI arrests. The message is clear: drinking and driving is still a big problem.

The Mother Orange Tree is the oldest living orange tree in Northern California. Planted in 1856, and transplanted twice from its original location. My Dad moved from Michigan to California in 1954. He loved the fact that he could grow citrus fruit in our backyard.
