a blustery day
while the wind tries very hard
to steal my hat away,
Glaucous-winged Gulls
hang motionless -
moving stealthily
between shadows and light
black-tailed deer
playing night games
with the motion sensor -
with the rain gone
sun hangs low in the sky
unfurled umbrella
blocks the rays
and the scenery -
a babbling brook
aggregate of sounds
laughing, whispering, anticipation
children's voices

A whole constellation
of stars in the water -
dancing a minuet
elegantly
on the waves -
in the park the traffic fades
and too...the people,
the world offers solitude -
and I alone with the butterflies,
occupy the vastness. -
When all the noise is silenced
what pulls your soul
what makes you live -
how easy is it for you to forgive
those who caused you pain -
When men
tidy up garages
the time stands still
and therefore some
do look younger. -
sky's peachy white clouds
sandwiched between layers of
bright tropical blue

near the pond
a goshawk
is taking a bath -
Little flower
among the weeds
did you think
I would not notice -
how you dazzle me! -
a hermit lived
in this forest
near the brook
the stars were
his friends -
The traffic jam.
The radio music
now allegro.
My right hand
the conductor. -
There’s a gate now
on the track that runs
beyond the stream
how can you keep a wild world
