Excited because FINALLY the High Limit Series 410 sprint cars are back on the Left Coast.
Tonight, Santa Maria Speedway, a tight little oval on the Cali coast.
I already have my tickets to see them on their Roseburg stop Aug. 31.
I'll be closely watching Tanner Holmes in the Buch 13 for the next two weeks. This young driver's stock is rising and he always races well out here. After racing his way into the Knoxville Nationals A feature last week, he is on a roll.

Starting to plan a Sept. 2 trip to Skagit Speedway in Washington for their World of Outlaws Sprint Car stop.
Racing is how I started my journalism/photo career in 1979. Winged sprints are "the greatest show on dirt" (O.K., technically clay), but here is a little craziness…winged sprinters on ICE. I didn’t even know this was a thing.
