Goes 19 Outage - Update

Space weather data and weather images are flowing again from Goes 19 following an outage lasting nearly 24 hours.

Xray flux data restarted at around 16h UT today.

Update #2: The #Goes19 Safehold has been resolved and engineers are working to prepare for restart of the onboard instruments. More information on the recovery timeline will be provided when known.

Goes-19 Outage

This message from NOAA regarding Goes-19 (aka Goes East)

"As of July 15, 5:00 p.m. EDT, GOES-East (GOES-19) is experiencing an anomaly, is not transmitting data, and restoration of service is TBD. Until service is restored, GOES-East images on this site will not update. The GOES site team is monitoring the situation and will update this banner when further details are available."

As my website and the Space Weather Ops dashboards also used Goes-19 solar data, Goes-18 data is the sole data source for some data until Goes-19 can be restored. Should Goes-18 data drop out for any reason, there will be gaps in the data.

As Goes-18 was already the primary satellite for solar data, we're just losing the back up source for now.
