1. After a heroic clearing day with 21 machete-wielding labourers last week, we're now doing controlled burns on our southmost hectare to prepare it for cultivation. Pics soon. #FarmLife
2. At least 20 of the young banana seedlings we planted 15 months ago are now fruiting (and are now 3m tall).
3. I'm trying to take more photos of the #goats, but in 90% of my shots they're barreling towards me to try and eat my clothing or get cuddles. Here are 4 of the better pics from today. Mrs Goat gave birth!
We are now the proud uncle & aunt of 2 brown and white baby goats.
One of our farm workers is familiar with these events and supervised things; I watched the second kid come out and removed some of the placenta so it could move more freely.
Pic is tightly cropped due to general birth-related messiness, but mother and babies seem fine. Mother will no doubt be happy to finally soon get out of the shack we built to keep her safe during her pregnancy.

Jeszcze dziś i jutro. Potem trochę wolnego do chyba 7 stycznia. Dobrze przepracowany rok. Należy się. I brak wyrzutów sumienia że idę na wolne. Też tak macie? W sensie że nie ma cię wyżutów sumienia? Będzie czas na zdjęcia albo jakieś filmowanie :)

Queens of the Hill 🐐
Rotational grazing season finally arrived this week.😀 Just as well. I'm sick of hauling hay and they are sick of eating it. The fresh cheese cultures order has been placed. Here's to feta, quark and camembert to come. 🌞 -
