  1. The wind shows little sign of letting up.

I’ve pulled out an old #power
bank to keep my devices charged.

Hopefully it still works. I purchased it just before my surgery & it’s been gathering dust since then. They take 10 hours to charge.

(They don’t do well not being charged regularly. It could be dead).

    UPDATE: It’s alive! 👍🏼
A #GoalZero is inbound from Brisbane.

  2. My good old Goal Zero Venture 30 power bank died recently - lit up one blue LED in the middle and never turned on again. I emailed GoalZero asking for any clues and if they have none - maybe a hint on disassembling this glued down thingie, but obviously - and as always - they didn't reply.

So I cracked it open and... I wish it was a cap, but turns out it's this UCS1002-2 IC - I wonder if it's worth replacing...

  4. Ayer me di cuenta definitivamente que aunque la #GoalZero de 3000 watts y la de 1000 me resuelve necesito algo mínimo de 6000 watts para mi tranquilidad.

  5. This may be a horrible idea but…
I got a #GoalZero Yeti 300X for Christmas. It is intended as a battery backup for the house, but I thought it might work well as a replacement for my failing #UPS for my #Homeassistant server, #RaspberryPi NAS, and internet. I have the Yeti set to battery saver. The equipment pulls an average of 40 watts. Every 1.5 hours the yeti gets down to 80% and the spends 15 minutes to charge back to 85%.
I’m worried that I’m shortening the lifespan but it works well.

  6. Power's been out since 1:30 a.m. all over #Seattle. Lots of people in the same boat per the outage map.

Because we lose power 4-5 times each year due to high winds and whatnot, a few months ago we invested in a #GoalZero power bank which can power lots of stuff (including both our CPAPs) for 2-3 days if needed. Not shilling for them, just glad we have it!
