I was not getting mobile data while at #DebConf25 (Brest, France) on #Librem5. My home network is vi India. Another provider airtel worked, and the same Vi sim worked on an android phone as well as pinephone pro running mobian. On #FLX1 also vi failed but airtel worked.
I manged to get it working after installing a patched ModemManager that uses ppp instead of qmi for data connection. Thanks to @dos for maintaining these patches https://source.puri.sm/sebastian.krzyszkowiak/ModemManager/-/commits/bearers -
@triskelion @purism I appreciate what GrapheneOS and other projects are doing. I wish gOS good luck in:
- getting early access to future #AOSP sources as development is no longer public.
- fixing the myriad of #Google shenanigans with the OS and Chromium.
- getting mental health help for the main developer - he deserves all the help he can get.Unlike gOS, #Linuxphone development is not riding on decades of Google funded development of the OS. Progress is therefore slower but it is improving gradually.
Besides #PureOS, there is also #Mobian and #postmarketOS - I especially look forward to the latter's future #ImmutableOS version which would have security benefits as well.

Thanks to awesome work by @agx #Librem5 can now wake up from suspend when alarm is set! This is a huge leap in usability.
This was top 3 item in #dephcom feature priority poll for mobile GNU/Linux.
https://codema.in/d/9PSaLqK8/first-feature-prioritizing-poll
It is available from https://phosh.mobi/posts/phosh-nightly/ and https://people.debian.org/~praveen/mobian/ and hopefully will hit official channels soon.
You likely need to also run
sudo setcap 'cap_wake_alarm=ep' /usr/bin/gnome-clocks
