GNU Guix is changing how it finds and loads extra commands: it can now use ready-made files instead of processing their code during loading.
This may make the process faster; no measured performance gain is reported.
The new guix-extension-collection currently brings together five additions: explore, removals, compose (Docker Compose compatibility), toys and xsearch (package search).
