Ho iniziato Gnosia un po' a casaccio e le prime puntate non mi hanno colpito particolarmente. Però andando avanti e conoscendo il background deə variə personaggə sta catturando sempre di più la mia attenzione. Decisamente un anime che ci mette del tempo a ingranare.
È anche ad alto contenuto queer con tutti questi corpi manipolati, ibridati, cambiati e plasmati secondo la propria sensibilità :queer_potion:

Okay yeah. I know I joke of professional time loop obligations, but I'm gonna drop Gnosia so that there's still a chance I can enjoy the game, as it seems like a better medium to tell the story presented within.
Without providing spoilers, I think Gnosia suffers from many of the issues the series Sherlock did in how it presents its mystery, clues, and the solving of its "puzzle." Also, the entire premise of the show and its "game" are a house of cards that becomes all the more flimsy with each new element introduced.
But as a game, solving the mysteries yourself? Not just having answers thrown at you after things happen? That could be far more compelling.

Even the damn game is willing to throw away its own premise to make you suspend that disbelief over the lava in Mt. Doom lmao. :neocat_drowsy:

Not to mention, I think this style of story in anime form severely hurts it to the point it shouldn't be adapted. Literally, the problem itself might be that this is an anime.
To my understanding, the game applies RNG so "winning" the sus amongus game is not only harder, but you're encouraged to explore through gameplay.
The anime has a set structure. We know our MC is gonna keep losing till the damn finale. Period. Cuz I doubt they have the guts to do otherwise. I also doubt they animated several different versions to air in different countries with different outcomes or something like some sorta anime Clue (1985).
So what's the point of me watching a story I'm going to know the end to? Why am I watching a show that spits on the premise of what made its original story supposedly great?

Like, I'm not trying to be a hater here. I know this is based on a popular visual novel and the character designs are pretty cool!
But its entire concept of how time loops work, while deviating from the norm, doesn't do so in a way that positively helps the story. Not to mention, how much the entire damn premise of voting or just about anything else in the setting immediately breaks down unless you suspend your disbelieve from the highest room in the tallest tower.

As that grill that watched Groundhog Day 365 days in a row... Lemme just say I fucking HATE GNOSIA and am finding it to so far be some of the worst time loop media I have literally ever consumed.
Which is saying something.

Okay uh. Look, I don't wanna be rude cuz this looks to be an original anime with a lot of work put into it visually.
But um. SO much of the premise of this show breaks down HORRIBLY in the first episode. We have a fucking super intelligent AI that can't figure out when someone leaves a room during warp? We're going into a warp where someone can just do a free murder... Why?
Cold Sleep does not necessarily equal death. So while risky... Just freeze everyone! Why the fuck WOULDN'T you?!? The odds then are the same for everyone to survive instead of a shitty game!
Also, just straight up calling out the game Werewolf. Like, while it explains things okay... I mean.
Just two things. Two things to go along with this show that seems to be way more about flash than substance. But seriously, this show is so desperate to justify its own existence and game mechanics that it comes off pretty terrible.

But seriously, a bunch of the language in the show so far shows just how clearly this was inspired by the game.
I was promised a time loop though, so it's my professional duty to watch this one.
