  1. Is there a good #Podcast player for Linux that comes at least halfway close to what AntennaPod or Podcast Addict can do*? I gave #gPodder and #GnomePodcasts a try and they can't even remember the playback position, which is one of the most important features for an audiobook / podcast player.

*I have not used PA in like a decade, but even a decade ago it was practically perfect, so it bugs me that Linux app developers don't seem to be copying it enough.

ps.: I know I could use Waydroid to run the Android apps, but that raises its own problems, like all my files now being inside what's essentially a VM image instead of a regular folder. No thank you. Maybe in a few years when Waydroid has better desktop integration and is more stable.

  2. The #GnomePodcasts app is lacking in a play queue for downloaded episodes. Is it possible to run #AntennaPod on #PostmarketOS, or is there another alternative? (#Kasts fails to open).

  3. @stu Next to the standard apps, I use mainly:

    #GNOMEpodcasts: apps.gnome.org/Podcasts/

    GNOME Shortwave: gitlab.gnome.org/World/Shortwa

    and @signalapp

Sometimes I use GNOME Dialect: apps.gnome.org/Dialect/

    Sometimes #WhatIP: flathub.org/apps/org.gabmus.wh

This all next to the standard apps as #Chatty, #Calls, Address book, alarm (Clock), Firefox, GNOME terminal, Camera (Millipixels) (I do not use this often). Weather.

I update flatpaks and system via terminal. I have #Nextcloud integration.

    #Librem5

  4. Listening to the first episode of #postmarketOSpodcast via #gnomePodcasts on #gnomeMobile! Everything* is so georgeus and smooth!

*except for the rough edges and papercuts I expect from software in this stage of development. Butb I am amazed by how much _is_ working!
