Well, I told myself I was going to stick to debian/stable on the personal laptop, but I see that testing (Trixie) now got updated gnome desktop.
Couldn't resist the upgrade 😄
Very smooth. Only dkms modules of evdi (silly displaylink), and wireguard since they rolled that module into linux-image, have any issue during the dist-upgrade.

Curieux bug depuis peu, qui tend à se répéter de + en + souvent. Lors de la connexion à ma session Gnome, le champ de saisie du mot de passe dysfonctionne. Certaines lettres ou chiffres ne sont pas pris en compte et je dois répéter plein de fois... Au début j'ai cru à un problème de mon clavier, mais non, le reste du temps tout va bien. C'est seulement à ce moment-là que ça coince. Par moment, pas toujours. Très désagréable bien entendu !

Anybody else seeing glitches with #firefox on #linux (#wayland & #gnome46 on #fedora40) when using #googlesheets? Like, it flickers rapidly between sheets enough that data entry is not possible.
currently holding auditions for new non-#chrome #browsers: #waterfox, #vivaldi, #epiphany (which I guess is just "web" now?)

I just updated to #nixos 24.05 on my laptop and server. So with #gnome46 I can now very easily use my #microsoft accounts instead of mounting them via rclone. The only thing is that I cannot use this with my school account because #gnome is an untrusted application thus it is not allowed.
But what is really funny is that is possible to access multiple #onedrive accounts natively on #linux while on #windows you can only use one personal and one business account. 😂

Of the (many) handy new features in Ubuntu 24.04 LTS is the ability to access OneDrive files through the Nautilus file manager as a remote mount. This is made possible by the msgraph package, a new gvfs backend that Nautilus can use, account integration through GNOME Online Accounts (GOA), and Microsoft giving GNOME the relevant permission and approvals. And while the file-access feature isn’t obvious to set up, it’s easy once you know how. It works with both regular Microsoft OneDrive accounts and OneDrive accounts provided for and/or managed by an organisation such as your work. As a ‘turn key’ :sys_more_orange:

Does anyone else have these display issues in the Settings App on Ubuntu 24.04 or Fedora 40... Wallpaper options don't fully populate and Sub-Menus flicker and sometimes shrink in window size. Also, colour options in Ubuntu don't display properly either. This has to be a #Gnome46 issue as it affects two completely different distros. #fedora40 #fedora #ubuntu #linux

So #GNOME crashes when I close the Minecraft window now, cool
I tried using the crash report feature but after spending a while writing a detailed description of what was going on the problem reporting app just told me it's a duplicate, I think the duplicate detector is wrong but that doesn't matter, it didn't create the issue and instead deleted by description so that's cool, I'll definitely be reporting more bugs /s
