  1. System Hack: Making a Useful Character Questionnaire

Character questionnaires aren’t new tech by any means; even before they started to be ingrained into character creation and session zero procedures, lists of key questions have been used extensively in TTRPGs to give players a starting point from where they could figure out who they wanted their character to be outside of mechanical determinants. In recent years, though, the character questionnaire has developed into a procedure all its own, with some interesting tech for making the process more specific to both TTRPGs in general and the given TTRPG a questionnaire was packaged with. One character questionnaire I’ve used recently, the persona generation questionnaire from the DIE RPG, is both powerful enough and generalizable enough that I want to break down what it does in an attempt to make writing a character questionnaire for your own session zero easier. 2. Ken's prepping for an overland journey in his Shadowdark campaign, and thinking about weather.

The weather "hex flower" approach at Goblin's Henchman is pretty cool: it's like a hexcrawl ... but for weather. The webpage includes several variations on this theme, including season-specific flowers. goblinshenchman.wordpress.com/

  4. I've been seeing a lot more tools emerging for building maps these days. Dungeondraft has been my go to for a while, but I recently saw a recommendation for Canvas of Kings. Any others I should check out? #MapsMaking #GMTools #DMTools

  5. Anyone have any good online #TTRPG initiative trackers?

It would be great if it was specific to the #Vaesen #RPG, but it would be okay if it wasn't?

Also nice if it had private rooms/urls that could be shared with the group.

  6. One-click customizable procedural generation of towns, villages, dungeons, etc. - be it for fun, for inspiration or for direct use. Awesome work by Watabou.

I found this site several years ago long before I rediscovered my interest in #ttrpg and even then loved playing around there just for fun:
