I tend to join gamejams (which I do now and then) as an artist, since nobody would otherwise let me draw, hue hue.
I drew these plants recently for GMTK Jam 2024, style didn't stay very consistent and some are kinda nonsense but overall I think I did ok in two days. Didn't know I'd be drawing plants or doing #pixelart but that's the fun of jams, never know what you'll get.

CW: I was part of a gamejam
This marks the end of the #gmtkjam2024
I was very lucky to contest with a team from all around the world. Myself and a friend from Germany, my beloved partner from the UK as well as two very talented individuals from Australia.
Together we created a "Simon says" type of music game, where you are meant to pick a missing note.
The past four days have been a wild ride but in the end we made something. Its not perfect, well-shaped or bug free, but its something we did under enormous time pressure and not knowing what we had to expect from the theme. I am very proud of this result.Feel free to check out the game here:

Got to the "tuning the numbers" part of the level design. That being said my friend told me that I should be banned from the level design after seeing this.
But hey, at this point the player should have realized by now that the walls are diggable.

I feel weird that my idea is basically coming down to 1 day of actual coding and 3 days of level design, but well, what did I expect going into this?
The worst part about this is that I don't exactly have any cool screenshots displaying cool mechanics to show others, I can just show further floors of the tower.
