To be super clear, this is not bullshit.
Every summer, forestry companies spray thousands of hectares of Crown land with herbicides ... the practice reduces biodiversity, which makes forests more vulnerable to wildfires.

I was shocked to learn that there's been no glyphosate testing in NZ food for a decade. In 2015 some wheat samples exceeded the 'allowable' dose by up to fifty times, so what did MPI do? They stopped testing for glysophate in our food... for ten years.
Since then the World Health Organisation has deemed glyphosate a "probable carcinogen" and Monsanto / Bayer have paid billions in compensation to cancer sufferers affected by the deadly chemical. Punters in the US can no longer buy RoundUp while the EU is wary.
"Organics New Zealand said the EU had 195 chemicals on its banned list, compared to New Zealand's 27, and the regulatory gap risked jeopardising exports."
However MPI's latest idea is to raise the 'allowable' residue in food by a factor of 100. To allow one hundred times more toxic residue in our food.

Bayer (Monsanto) has lost another case in the US and been ordered to pay $2.25 billion to a man who contracted non-Hodgkins lymphoma after using Roundup for years at his house.
There are over 50,000 outstanding Roundup cases in the US.

@SinclairLewis Not these days. Especially in BC where our #NewDeathParty #BCNDP government appreciate #glysophate spraying to increase timber sales while killing off tons of native trees, plants & basically decimating more biodiverse ecosystems. The toxic spraying affects insects/invertebrates/mycelium life too. More toxic spraying = less bees as well. #StopTheSpray #BritishColumbia #Canada
