I was already excited about ditching #Comcast, but #GloFiber’s response to this incident has been incredible. If this is the level of customer service I can expect from this company, they’ve got a customer for life.
Accidents happen. How those accidents get handled speaks volumes, and it would have been difficult for anyone to do better in this case.

This a local hotel, themed this way because Robert Fulton, designer of, as Wikipedia puts it, “the world's first commercially successful steamboat” was born in Lancaster County, PA. We’re staying here right now because our fiber internet installation yesterday went very very wrong.
While the #GloFiber tech was drilling through the exterior wall so he could run the cable inside, he drilled into our main electrical service line. We called out an electrician, and as soon as he saw the damage, he removed our electrical meter so that our house is disconnected from the grid. So it was pretty bad.
Thankfully, the tech wasn’t seriously injured (I assume he got a jolt, but he seemed fine, if rattled). And GloFiber has been amazing about the whole thing. They’ve coordinated finding electricians to evaluate and repair the damage, they’re reimbursing us for the hotel stay.
