Something that probably won't be mentioned re the #GlobalOutage #CrowdStrike issue - all the people with loaded trolleys at supermarkets who couldn't pay, had to leave them there. Any items from frozen or cold storage would have to be thrown out. Staff would spend hours sorting, re-shelving and disposing of products that couldn't be kept. What a waste.

😂 🤣 It's hilarious self-checkout in some stores as reported by the news are not working because of the Crowdstrike/Microsoft outage. I absolutely hate this concept of self-checkout and avoid it at all cost, I'm not going to do the work for free when it's supposed to be the job of a cashier who's being paid for it.

FWIW, I have just completed a full #backup of all files on my computer onto an external hard drive.

With all systems down because of the #Crowdstike outage, there was nothing to be done at the airport. Phone lines are also fully saturated; I was unable to reach the airline, my credit card concierge, or any hotel reservation line.
I grabbed the first hotel shuttle to the Hyatt Regency SFO. Their computers are down too, of course. I got a room and they wrote down my credit card number on a piece of paper. 🛌
