YK:n Sustainable Development Report 2025 -raportin maaprofiili julkaistiin kesällä, ja siinä on kaksi ääripäätä:
Me ollaan homelandissa eli kotona SDG-indeksin kärjessä eli sijalle 1 / 167 maan "kisassa" siispä torille 🎉Mietin nykyhetken Suomea, jossa on näköpiiriin noussut köyhyys uutiset ja työttömyyden kasvu ja nykyhallituksen havaittu jarrutus hiilinielu eli metsäpolitiikassa ja ennallastimisasetuksessa ym. Heikentävät seikat. Mutta tuon mittarin mukaan meillä on siis edelleen muihin verrattuna vahva suoritus työstä köyhyyden, koulutuksen, terveyden ja monen muun kestävyystavoitteen saavuttamisessa Suomen rajojen sisällä. Herää kysymys kuinka kauan?
Mutta globaalisti olemme aina olleet heikoilla. Nyt vielä syvempi niiaus.
Eli Suomen suurin heikkous on meidän ulkoisvaikutuksissa (Spillover). Sijoitus putosi entisestään sijalle 144 / 167 (viime vuonna 136). 📉Mitä tämä tarkoittaa?
Otetaan tähän perusteet mitkä asiat tähän vaikuttavat:
Ulkoisvaikutukset mittaavat, kuinka paljon Suomen kulutus, tuotanto ja kauppa aiheuttavat negatiivista haittaa (esim. hiilidioksidipäästöjä, metsäkatoa, epäreiluja työoloja) kehitysmaissa.Olemme (vai olemmeko?) kestävyyden mallioppilas kotona, mutta globaalissa vastuussa ja kulutuksen jalanjäljessä olemme häntäpäässä. Kestävän kehityksen ykköspaikka ei ole kestävä, jos se tapahtuu muiden maiden kustannuksella.

Today, a new version of the #Global #Burden of #Disease (GBD) Study has been published. It provides global, national and sub-national estimates for 2023 on 292 causes of death and 88 risk factors for #health, etc.
We present selected findings of the #GBDstudy related to #GlobalChallenges that mainly stem from limited access to vital resources such as #food, clean #air or #healthcare.
