  2. Today, a new version of the #Global #Burden of #Disease (GBD) Study has been published. It provides global, national and sub-national estimates for 2023 on 292 causes of death and 88 risk factors for #health, etc.

    We present selected findings of the #GBDstudy related to #GlobalChallenges that mainly stem from limited access to vital resources such as #food, clean #air or #healthcare.

We combine #data on key #GlobalChallenges from the @WHO #GlobalHealthEstimates of July 2024 and other latest data from the #UN with data from the #GBDstudy (Global Burden of Disease Study), completed in May 2024, as well as other sources. The GBD Study was created by over 12,000 collaborators and is based at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington.
