Saw #Glenrothan today, funnily enough caught a glimpse of a review that said it was a failure on all levels just before going in :D
I found it sympathetic and it had a sort of memorable unifying character (or "a simple plot" maybe) I like in films. But yeah, it felt off in places, some very unnatural dialog especially, convenient coincidences, slightly unclear characterisation. Is Donal supposed to be a cool guy / lovable rogue or a neurotic loser? Is Sandy a tough gruff guy or much more weepy?
