Today, I took a walk around #lochMorlich. There were some lovely views of the #mountains but I particularly liked this view of #Cairngorm where you can see the #funicular railway and ski slopes.

With Moray up through Glenmore Forest and past Utsi's Hut *, then out onto the open boggy moorland, until we eventually joined the Chalamain Gap path back down to Glenmore via Utsi's Bridge.
* - Mikel Utsi was a sami (reindeer herder) from Sweden who reintroduced the reindeer into this area in the 1950s. The herd of about 150 is still going strong.

Another 2 day trek with Moray: from #Tomintoul followed the #RiverAvon upstream for a day and a half to the #FordsOfAvon, then through the #LairigAnLaoigh and round the shoulder of #BynackMore to #Glenmore. Overnight camp by the River Avon, it's great to be able to sit outside the tent at this time of year, before the midgies get going.
