Remember the people who said AI wouldn’t take away jobs? The current LLM/AI space is absolute shit at actually doing real work… but they are cutting and taking jobs anyway.
Oh, and we went from a Liberal Canadian government that at least had a Universal Basic Income on their radar… to one that is going to cut 1000s of federal jobs and, you guessed it, get AI to do stuff instead.

Very glad to see this Class Action approved and moving ahead. Not only is it right and fair for the people who got the financial rug pulled out from under them (causing some to die by suicide) but it makes it clear just how many people were helped by UBI! It was working!!! People were getting out of the hole our current systems create!

I would rather see politicians paying a no-strings, unconditional, GLBI wage to three homeless and/or drug addicted people to help them rebuild their lives than one more police officer to “enforce” the laws.

This is an amazing article and argument for all people receiving a Universal Basic Income. It won’t prevent the super rich, or very poor, but at least it would flatten the curve of inequality.
