From the Glass Art Society closing party last night- I got 99 people to hold hands and complete the circuit to activate our "Your Magic Is Real" sculpture! Alicia Eggert was there and was excited- me too- what a fun time!

Its crazy just how far a 3 or 5 volt signal can go- but I guess people really are a lot of conductive water. I am wondering how we can find the theoretical maximum amount of people holding hands to activate the sculpture? Could we perhaps get it to a music festival or something? Coachella? We might need more neon :)

The conference was so fun! Nice to connect with so many old friends - and meet so many new ones! Future apologies to everyone's name that I will forget and have already forgotten ;)

I've used a transparent smoke colored glass to make these beads, along with champagne and white overlaid with dark purple that appears black in all but bright natural light, and some opaque earth tones. Overthinking a project leads to inertia. Rather than becoming frustrated, it's best to just clear the mind, pick up some glass, any glass, fire up the torch and make something.
