Recently had the pleasure of watching a group of young bighorn sheep playing on a large, nearly vertical, snow field on the west slope of Iceberg Peak in Glacier NP. They ran back and forth for some time. Light was tough as it was still morning. So fun though.

Hiking Beautiful Grinnell Glacier National Park
This particular hike is considered difficult, with its length of 11 miles and a 2,200-foot elevation gain. Just be sure you know this going in, and if you can handle it then you will surely be glad you did it. This hike kicked my butt, but I would not have missed it for the world.

I know of at least 5 mountains named "Elk Mountain." Along with "Red Mountain," this has to be one of the most common peak names in the Rockies.
Anyway, here's Elk Mountain, in Glacier NP, about 15 miles northeast of the closest other Elk Mountain.
