Mitte Februar wurde die Amerikanistin Prof. Dr. Stefanie Schäfer in den Vorstand der Gesellschaft für Kanada-Studien in deutschsprachigen Ländern e.V. (GKS) gewählt. Ab dem 1. März 2027 wird sie als Präsidentin die #GKS auch international vertreten, etwa beim International Council of Canadian Studies in Toronto. Herzlichen Glückwunsch! 💪

Located at the Embassy of #Canada to Berlin for the 1st time after the traditional location Grainau, the conference has followed the "call of the North" to - the North of Germany!

@jyrgenn @cm I did work there on one of the GDR cascaded 8-bit machines. We created laser cutter graphics using #GKS to cut large and small seals from material as optimally as possible. Program → perforated tap → plotter → cutter :-)
