Self-respect is the master switch for healing. That includes the self-respect to set healthy boundaries. It takes emotional maturity to forgive the past so we can live in the present.
This Sunday, I don’t just celebrate a date on the calendar. I celebrate a foundation built on mutual respect and safety.
It’s about being free from cultural, religious, or emotional debt. We shouldn't have to carry hidden static from our childhood into our adult lives.
To those navigating complicated family waters this weekend: I see you.
You deserve a system that feels safe.May you find the space to breathe and the strength to protect your own peace. You are allowed to choose regulation over obligation.
