If you make these kinds of choices based on "what someone says", you're doing it wrong. No one is suggesting that.
I am (slowly) moving from Debian to Devuan for all the obvious and well-documented problems with systemd. No need to recite that stuff in detail.
Observing that Ubuntu is going all-in on autoslop, and being able to connect the dots and project into the future, moving from Ubuntu to literally anything else (that isn't on the same problematic path) is also pretty darn obvious.
But throwing up a nihilist hypothetical strawman to try to convince others it's not worth trying to fix problems? That is GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY LIFE territory. Plonk.

A quotation from Satchel Paige
Never let your head hang down. Never give up and sit down and grieve. Find another way. And don’t pray when it rains if you don’t pray when the sun shines.

@Vivaldi
Stumbled upon it one day in #Ubuntu's app store's “New and Updated” section. 'Twas actually the #Flatpak version, which doesn't really have the best #images and #description, as it's #unofficial, so I wasn't drawn to it at first, but just kept in my #mind. A few days later, #BraveBrowser started having a lot of #issues (it was my bad, actually, but anyway) and I switched to #MicrosoftEdge for a while. A little time after, I found out about some ugly things M$ does through its #browser, and looked for an #alternative. #Browsers like #Brave were already too #basic for me, after using #Edge, and thus, when I saw #Vivaldi as a powerful alternative, I didn't hesitate a moment and tried it.That's the most #important part of the story, but… there's a second #volume: At first, I was like a #crazy #chicken in front of a pot full of #earthworms, so… I obviously broke the browser in just one, two days. In the meanwhile, I also managed to repair Brave, and I was thinking of leaving V, considering it too #buggy. But luckily, I decided to give it one more chance, this time being more #cautious about #messing up with #settings… and here I am!
You might call me a very #wise person, since I didn't #giveUp immediately, but the #truth is… I was simply #mesmerized by it… :tony_happy:

Whatever you do, don’t give up. Because all you can do once you’ve given up is bitch.

Tomorrow, I head to #Pittsburgh to check two #BucketList bands off the list. I'll be seeing #ThePostalService and #DeathCabForCutie.
Better yet, I'll be getting to share it with Oldest Spawn.
I have to get to the city without a panic attack. If I can do that, all should be well.
I'll also be getting my first #PrimantiBros sandwich, which my sister says is a must-have.

"The amount of work your work and life wants of you will always and forever exceed the amount you can do.
You cannot fight this.
It is also a gift.
Once you accept (or re-accept) that there is too much, it becomes easier to turn some things away. You may still feel grief or loss at the things you cannot do. You may feel guilt, especially if an institution or person benefits from you feeling that way. But accepting that you must leave some things undone shifts the problem from one of being not enough to one of being in a position to make choices. And even when those choices are coupled to difficult or prickly constraints, they are still choices."https://everythingchanges.us/blog/too-much-and-not-enough/ by Mandy Brown
