Thanks to the generous initial response to this #GiveALittle and 100% success with her funding applications (also amazing) Daena is going to Houston ... but complications have drained the money set aside for contingencies so we're boosting it around again to try and build that safety margin back up.

This is my talented wife, who has had a piece accepted into the juried exhibition at the Houston International Quilt Festival, kind of an Olympics of quilting.

kia ora. i'm rebecca, and i'm an alcoholic. and at 9am three weeks from tomorrow, i am going into rehab.

i've set up this givealittle to hopefully raise money for clothes + luggage to take with me, as well as to get my laptop out of the pawn shop so it can come too.

this has been a long time coming. i don't know how long i've wanted to do this for, but it's over a decade. in February of this year i finally reached out to some folks, and i've been having appointments and chats and screenings over the last several weeks, and finally it's happening. i'm so fucking anxious lmao

the entire program is ten weeks, and for the first week i am gonna be radio silent bc i am not allowed my phone (which on its own is gonna be rough!!!), but then after that i'll be around intermittently between groups and therapy and all that stuff. then on the 6th of august, i'll be all done.

if you haven’t seen it, i have a givealittle going on right now to get a used desktop PC to offload someone of the heavy lifting my laptop is currently doing.

this will enable me to work more/healthier bc i can take my laptop with me places to work instead of building up the energy to work at home, which is hard!!

i’ll be able to take my laptop to the beach or a coffee shop and focus, while my PC at home can run my Plex server and other stuff i don’t need on my work computer.

i am planning to buy from a recycling centre so all i need is around NZ$250 (approx US$130) for computer, monitor, and an extra hard drive or two.

please donate anything you can! i can cover some of the cost myself, so any amount helps and i can pay some extra to get over the line, but i need your help please!
