#gits - Watched the 95 adaptation. Loved it. Never checked the source material. Watched the first episode of the 2026 anime and was like “uh, they butchered it”.
Fast forward to a dr. trap completely in love with the REAL ghost in the shell. I still love the 95 adaptation, but the original vibe is absolutely amazing.

Made it through a few episodes. I like the show's visual style a lot. In one particular action scene the images devolve to scribbles for example.
But the plot is moving very fast and a lot of what's happening feels like deus ex machina to me because I don't know the GITS lore. Like, who can enter/hack whose brain etc... while on other occasions the team surveils criminals in a way that doesn't seem stealthy at all and should be detectable by the technology in that world.

What a lovely watercolor piece of art for GITS!
It reminded me that I wanted to post that the new GITS series is on Amazon Prime. I started watching it twice already but fell asleep every time. I'll start episode 1 for the third time now 😅
I don't think it's the show. The action is rather hectic in fact and the subtitles for Japanese text on screen require you to be a very fast reader. -

It’s fair to say that Major Kusanagi has such a larger-than-life personality that she ends up overshadowing the rest of the characters. This makes it a fantastic way to see the team in a whole new light.

I just wrapped up Ghost in the Shell 1.5: Human-Error Processor. It’s an excellent title and really refreshing for anyone who loves Ghost in the Shell. Rather than centering the story around Major Motoko Kusanagi, it shifts the focus to Section 9. It’s great to watch them operate like a well-oiled machine, and it really shows just how capable Batou, Togusa, Saito, and Borma are.

It's interesting that we had two episodes of The Ghost in the Shell in a row featuring former military members who thought they could outplay Section 9. Shouldn't these guys know better? #GhostInTheShell #GitS

The Ghost in the Shell Episode 5 explores Batou's softer side a bit more. He cares about both his men and his Fuchikoma. And SAC included some of the content from this episode in its Tachikoma revolution episode. #GhostInTheShell #GitS
