A “department of fool around and find out" – that's how #GitHubNext approaches innovation!

And today in UX fails: #GithubNext constraints the width when viewing a file to, I assume, make it easier to read; however, it does not wrap lines.
It can scroll left/right, but the only control for that is at the bottom of the file, so you have to scroll down, and lose your place. -
How I hate when companies shut down experiments without real reason, people enjoyed and that wouldn't really require maintenance and have, even if by far not feature-complete, a solid feature base.
Especially since people developed stuff that becomes completely unusable thereafter.

I'm excited to finally talk about some pretty cool stuff I've been working on for the last few weeks.
🧵 We've enhanced #HeyGitHub (@code AI voice assistant by @GitHubNext) with some new conversational capabilities.
🧠 With that change, #HeyGitHub can now answer general questions related to software development, generate and edit code, and control the editor while seamlessly following the conversation and understanding its context.

Another bit of magic from us at #GitHubNext 🪄
⭐ A new GitHub Copilot Labs feature - an AI-driven test generator that generates and refines suggested tests.

New day, a new lunch break... and a new Block.
This time it's a Block to display a beautiful code walkthrough created with Code Hike directly in your interactive readme.
Build with  with #GitHubBlocks (by #GitHubNext)
-
🪄 🎨 Accurate, language server driven, editor tooling (like tooltips or go-to-symbol navigation) directly in your GitHub repository... well, if you use GitHub Blocks (by #GitHubNext) ;-)
-
GitHub announced GitHub Blocks, a way to integrate interactive blocks in all parts of a repository. For example, for making documentation dynamic (with search and interactive code examples) or to provide custom visualizations.
Looks quite powerful at the first glance!
