Getting a verified lock icon for my signed Git commits took longer than expected! It’s all set up now in the end via SSH keys (and not GPG keys) on Codeberg. Email matching was the main culprit.

It's my first time setting up signing commits and I tested it on my new Gist repo!

Hope to add more to it in the near future.

I’m currently writing a post on how to use a Bash script with Termux. In the past, I will make comments inside the code. This results in an utter mess of code + comments mixed together.

A few weeks ago at a Homebrew Website Club, @ross mentioned a term I’ve not heard before called literate programming...

Version: 🆕 .🆕 .0

  13. Speaking of searching , did you know there are qualifiers you can use on the web site?

    docs.github.com/en/search-gith

Neither did I, despite hours of use per day on the main site, extensive use of gists, and pouring over (mostly API) docs.

Please upvote github.com/orgs/community/disc to at least add a link to the docs like code search has on the main web site.

  15. #GitHub: ReversingLabs researchers have uncovered two novel #malware techniques running on GitHub: one abusing GitHub #Gists, another issuing commands through git commit messages - fascinating blog post:

  16. Do you have a script/tool to download all your #GitHub #Gists?

I've found an awkward #Python script that seems to kind of work, but I'm not sure (I think it doesn't get all files related to each gist, and no comments, where sometimes I put stuff).

  17. @kevinmirsky I ended up writing a very minimalist frontend using #Github #gists as my backend data store.

I write in #markdown, post, and forget about it I until I want to post again.

I wrote it all up here 👇
